How to track your Multi-Channel Fulfillment orders

Fast, transparent shipping is critical to providing a great customer experience for your ecommerce business. In a recent survey, 73% of customers said that shipping has a large impact on their purchase decision (Resource: SupplyChain). Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) is designed for on-time delivery and recently made improvements to ship customer orders faster. Standard speed orders for in-stock inventory are now shipped out within two business days of order creation, and Expedited and Priority-speed orders are shipped out within one business day. Your orders are then delivered in one business day (Priority), two business days (Expedited), or three to five business days (Standard) from when the order ships.

Track your orders

Seller Central
Once you place an MCF order, you can find tracking information in Seller Central. See all of your orders and tracking on the “Manage Orders" page.
  1. From the top navigation of Seller Central, select the "Orders" drop down.
  2. Select the “Manage Orders” option.
  3. Enter the order ID in the search bar to locate your order.
If you click on an order, you can see the specific “Order Details” page. On this page, you can check your order’s shipping details, including the carrier. If the order has been shipped, you can see the tracking number associated with the shipment, which links to the Swiship tracking website.

Swiship
Swiship.com tracks all MCF orders for all carriers and it also shows all tracking for all packages in an order. Search Swiship using any MCF tracking number to get tracking information, or send your customers a direct link to their Swiship tracking page. If you provide MCF your customer’s email when creating an order, MCF will email your customer a shipment confirmation email with a link to their shipment's Swiship tacking page.

Through our Selling Partner API, you can use the “GetPackageTrackingDetails” API, which provides all tracking IDs in an MCF order (not just the first shipment), and links to the shipment's Swiship.com page. Learn more about the tracking API by reading the developer documentation.

Amazon Logistics

Track Amazon Logistics on your ecommerce channels
MCF added the ability to track through AfterShip to ensure that all carriers, including Amazon Logistics, are trackable on popular channels like Etsy and Wish. If you’re using a Shopify website, orders that are fulfilled by Amazon Logistics are trackable on Shopify. Your customers will receive a direct link to track.amazon.com in their Shopify order confirmation page, and see up-to-date information specific to their tracking number. Amazon Logistics tracking information continues to be available on Swiship as well.
Block Amazon Logistics
MCF has added the option to block US orders from being shipped by Amazon Logistics, for a 5% fee surcharge. Blocking Amazon Logistics will increase the risk of some of your orders being unfulfilled or delivered late if there are no alternative carriers available. Because sales channels like eBay and Walmart prohibit the use of Amazon Logistics, you will be able to block this shipping method at the account level within your FBA settings or for individual orders.

To block Amazon Logistics at the account level:
  1. Navigate to the top right of Seller Central and click the gear icon.
  2. Select “Fulfillment by Amazon” which will bring you to your “Fulfillment by Amazon Settings” page.
  3. Under “Multi-Channel Fulfillment Settings”, click “Edit” and enable the “Block Amazon Logistics” setting.
Account level
To block Amazon Logistics at the order level:
  1. From the top navigation of Seller Central, select the “Orders” drop down.
  2. Choose the "Create MCF Order" option in the drop-down.
  3. Under “Add items”, enable the “Block Amazon Logistics as a carrier for this order” option. The order level preference you indicate will override your account settings.

To block Amazon Logistics for specific orders using the Selling Partner API:
FeatureSettings allows users to apply fulfillment features to an order. To block an order from being shipped using Amazon Logistics (AMZL) with an Amazon Logistics tracking number, use "featureName:" "BLOCK_AMZL" with a "featureFulfillmentPolicy": "Required". Using BLOCK_AMZL in an order request will take precedence over your Seller Central account setting. See additional details in the developer documentation.
